If you’re American, Canadian, etc, this is a page about drinking vacations, not drinking holidays as in public holidays where you get to get smashed – although you’ll find plenty of that kind of stuff on the Drinking Traveller too, from local beer festivals to Rio Carnival; St Patrick’s Day and Oktoberfest to how uncle Johnny gave the turkey a proper “stuffing”…
So, drinking holidays. Basically, this is the practical section, to help you plan or inspire your future trips.
For those, like me, who like to travel and to drink in equal measure, I hope you’ll find this to be a useful travel resource. I’ve broken it down for you by alcohol of choice:
- Whisky (Whiskey)
- …and other, more specialist drinks.
I’ll be adding to these as I go, but expect to find all the info you need on bars, pubs and clubs, breweries and distillery tours, drinking festivals, party hostels (and cheap hotels with cool bars), limos, party buses, beer bikes, casinos, live music venues and pretty much anything that combines drinking and travel.
If you know of any alcohol-related attractions that should go in here, let me know and I’ll check it out.
